2017 Annual Fundraiser - SHEREHE! A Night of African Dance and Drum featuring Farafina Kan:  Sounds of Africa 

Join us as we celebrate over 8 years of sustained program success! Sherehe is the Swahili word for celebrate, and we have a special night planned at Jirani Coffee House in Manassas, VA!

Dance along to the drum and musical performances of Farafina Kan:  Sounds of Africa!
Hear a special guest speaker address from Mr. David Gacheru, Deputy Chief of Mission, Republic of Kenya.

When:  Friday, June 30th 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm

Our former intern, University of South Carolina graduate, Cannon King was in Kibwezi, Kenya during the summer of 2014. He shared some of his thoughts and observations as he conducted our progress out of poverty interviews with existing groups, performed field visits of new groups, and experienced just a little bit of every day life in Kibwezi!
